Bromley Youth Music Trust shares your deep commitment to music and the contribution music makes to the world. Over 100,000 children have benefited from music tuition via BYMT, giving the opportunity to the children of Bromley borough, whatever their ability, to enjoy making music and benefit from the enhanced social and learning opportunities that this brings.
BYMT has also become the jewel in Bromley's crown, consistently winning national and international prizes and heralding a musical legacy to include a significant number of professional musicians, performers and composers.
Furthermore, BYMT has long cherished the idea that a musical education should be open to all, regardless of economic circumstance, and has operated a bursary scheme since its inception.
BYMT is an independent charity, and each year needs to raise £600,000 through grants, donations and fundraising. With your help, we can continue to nurture the musicians of tomorrow.
Your gift, no matter its size, will make a difference.

Legacy gifts to Bromley Youth Music Trust can be made in a number of ways depending on your circumstances. There are four main ways you can remember BYMT in your will: a cash gift; a share of your estate; a specific gift e.g. a musical instrument; or a gift in trust.
In addition to remembering us in your will, BYMT is pleased to receive Lifetime Gifts of cash or goods.
Generally, gifts to charity are 100% Inheritance Tax free and are taken out of your estate before any tax is calculated. Therefore it may well mean that leaving a gift to charity reduces, or may possibly eliminate, your estate's liability to Inheritance Tax. You can also benefit from some relief from certain taxes such as Income Tax, when you donate to a charity while you are still alive.
Please note: For more information on Inheritance Tax please go to www.hmrc.gov.uk/inheritancetax. Please seek professional advice when planning your estate.
BYMT is proud to be partnering with respected local solicitors Clarkson Wright & Jakes. CWJ are offering all BYMT supporters a free 30 minute consultation on any aspect of their charitable giving and inheritance planning. Please click here for further details.
