Guests from Canada perform at the BYMT Festival of Winds.

Guests from Canada perform at the BYMT Festival of Winds.

Young Musicians from Reynolds Secondary School, Victoria, B.C - visiting the UK for the very first time   - performed brilliantly at the beginning of the 2nd half of the final concert of the ‘Festival of Winds’ before returning to stage to join forces with on of our own Saturday Centre bands  - Symphonic Winds to perform Tir Na Nog by Carl Strommen as a very uplifting grand finale at Langley Performing Arts Centre.

Special thanks to Dave Flello – the Musical Director for suggesting and conducting the finale piece and also for being such great guests – both bands enjoyed a joint lunch at the music Centre on Saturday 18th and we would also like to thank our own friends group Justine Grant at Menu Catering for helping organise the food and drink so efficiently.

By the time the Band have finished their tour at the end of this week they will have performed in 3 other venues around Kent and been sightseeing in London and Canterbury.   Discussions have all ready started about a BYMT trip to Canada – watch this space!
