BYMT believes passionately in giving training and performance opportunities in all genres of music.
Jazz School tackles jazz training from an innovative angle that enables all musicians to develop their jazz composition and improvisation skills through engaging in group musical activity. Through the playing and study of jazz repertoire the course will cover the essential requirements for composition and improvisation, including ear training, arrangements, transcription, rhythmic skills, developing harmonic understanding and knowledge, and building a jazz vocabulary.
