The Big Blow : November 2017

Do you play a woodwind or brass instrument?

Do you enjoy being part of a band?

Do you like performing to an audience?

If you can answer “yes” to one or more of these questions, then keep reading!

On Thursday 9th November & Thursday 16th November, BYMT Junior Band are opening their rehearsal doors to all young, aspiring wind and brass players who are coming up to or above Grade 1. We would like to invite you to perform three songs with us in our concert this term (Theme from Jurassic Park, Jus’ Plain Blues and Let’s Rock).

All you need to do is turn up and play! To make it even more fun, try to bring a woodwind or brass playing friend along to keep you company. The rehearsals take place 4:15-5:45pm at Bromley Youth Music Trust, Southborough Lane, BR2 8AA.

Your instrumental teacher has been given all the parts, so if you want to practise the music before the first rehearsal, just ask them for a copy.

If after these two rehearsals you like it so much you want to be part of the performance, you are very welcome to join us for these three pieces which are part of our Junior Band concert this term at Langley Park School for Boys on Saturday 18th November at 3:00pm (there will be a rehearsal on the day 1:30-2:30pm).

This experience is free of charge and if you would like to take up this offer, please confirm you are coming by Wednesday 8th November by emailing full name, contact email and telephone number.

brass@bymt.co.uk for all brass players

woodwind@bymt.co.uk for all woodwind players

Tickets for the concert are available through bymt.co.uk/events (£2-£6).

Booking in advance is recommended.
